I mean, how can they not?" and I think my dad decided I was a bit obsessed with sex, but so it goes. I love the Avengers so much, though. Any show that ties the female lead to the tracks of a minature railroad and then has a fight to the death atop the minature train has my heart forever. *needs to yoink the box set from her dad again*

LOL I know, right? When that happened, I was like, "...um, guys, she's about as big as the train. I doubt that's going to hurt her very badly, much less kill her." But it was hilarious.
I kind of love it for the fact that Steed seems to get captured and tied up about as much as Emma does. Some shows now can't even manage that.
And yes. I believe Steed and Emma are very much sleeping together. They can get very flirty at times, Steed especially. I think Emma owns him a tiny bit. =P

Yes! Emma has to pull Steed out of the fire just as often as the other way around. And he clearly regards her as a full partner and not "the little woman" or anything stupid like that. Very progressive, more so than some shows today, like you said.
