Heh, bnet got season five of Angel and I watched that and suggested I watch all the seasons of Buffy (he's got all 7 on DVD). I started it and by the start of season 2 I was like "OMG, MUST WATCH ENTIRE SERIES!!@)(*)(*(@*!#ONE". And so I did... in a little over 2 weeks. :)

both series are great -- i actually enjoy 'angel' more than 'buffy' (i like the characters and storylines more), but both have got their quirky fun greatness.

I've only seen one season of Angel (fifth), but from what I've seen compared to Buffy, I would have to surmise that Angel seemed to have a little bit better character development than Buffy.
