Oh, I LOVED this! So much perfectness.

I love how hard it was for her to handle Stefan's death. That the switch didn't come automatically but after days of grief and guilt that crippled her and she ignored everything else. I love that she didn't care about the fight or killing Markos (though she did care about killing Julian) and she went off into the world her switch off planning on living her life until the magic killed her too.

And I loved your exploration of Caroline with the switch off. I love to see how people handle that (the few that have) because the idea of it fascinates me after seeing so many characters without their emotions on the show. I love that she clung to feeling numb because it was better than feeling the loss of Stefan, she still remember that. I love how she kept moving, leaving bodies in her wake, never able to stay in one place. That she had a few moments of feeling something but it never lasted long and it was never what she wanted, not really

Loved how it took Caroline a couple days to flip the switch and how do I love how she was fighting with herself about taking Stefan's heart out.

This was B-E-A-UTIFUL. I wasn't sure how this story was going to pan out because you listed no other characters except Caroline and Stefan, but I am crazy happy with how it went. You have a gift.

I tend to read your stories on Archive Of Our Own and comment there, but I read this story again on Livejournal and I just had to say it again.

I was in need of Steroline feels and you have given me that and more. I love dark!caroline, but I also liked how you kept her sass (well, at least not when she was trying to rip out Stefan's heart).

I really loved this!
I ship Caroline and Stefan so hard recently! I wanted her in the Originals show, but I changed my mind. I want her in the VD, with Stefan!!
I don't know if you saw the finale yet, I don't want to spoil it to you, so it you haven't, just read what's below:

And Stefan had no idea what Lexie was talking about and then something interrupted tchem, but I'm pretty sure it's a big build-up to the next season when they wikll get together. Yay!
