I love writing Chloe as an investigator. I think if she hadn't joined the League, she would've been happy chasing down mysteries. And I thought it was a great opening for Stefan because while it's not in the same capacity, he does put little mysteries together in TVD making him observant enough to help out.

I LOVE Chloe's Wall; I think it'd be useful to bring her Wall of Weird out and use it as a tool in each case as she works; kind of like how John Winchester pieced his cases together on his wall too, using string to draw connections.

I really wanted to flesh them out and let them learn each other, the good and the bad, before the romance becomes more defined. I don't know the exact number because as I'm writing I find I'm deviating from my original plan (which was 3 chapters, so laughable at this point) to add different characters to move the plot in a similar direction. So I've got four chapters finished and given where I'm at I'd say there will probably be six overall, if things don't change too much as I'm writing! :D

Also, I did not know the Catahoula was Louisiana's state dog.lol I work at a vet's office, so I do know alot of them are lil' buggars.lol

I looked up 'common dogs in Louisiana' to find out about the Catahoula. I bet being a vet is pretty interesting. I've got a dog and two cats and things are never boring, haha.

One of the things I always love about your fics is how the extra characters that come along, like shop owners and the such, are fleshed out enough to be entertaining and interesting - not just props to push the canon characters along. If that makes sense... a bit late for me :) Awesome chapter, as usual.

Yay! I loved writing the shop owners. I wanted each of them to have their own characteristics and to stand out in their own way! Enough to lend some atmosphere, at least, to each meeting with them, so it wouldn't feel repetitive. Glad you're enjoying this! I've loved writing for this crossover. It's a lot of fun writing this couple and building a series around them. I hope to have the next part up tonight, if I don't get too busy with my Chlollie fic! ^_^

That's something I love about writing Chloe. Instead of letting someone brood she might tease them and then offer a shoulder before encouraging them to move on or find something fun to do. Her snark is my favorite thing to write. Glad you're enjoying them together! It's been an interesting time writing Stefan and melding their worlds! I hope to get the next chapter up soon. It's already written, I've just been busy with my Chlollie story. So maybe tonight I'll update this one! :)
