Awesome start! I love the tone of this and the relationship setup between John and Dean. Poor Sammy, if he was hoping to keep things on the down low bringing future Mrs. Winchester to a hunter retreat isn’t likely the way to go though if Jess can survive this with her sanity intact she’s definitely meant to be a Winchester.

I am glad you liked the tone between John and Dean that was what I worry most about, peoples reactions to it. Given that I typically write and read dub-cons and non-cons I have to admit to being partial - that was why I came over and checked this one out ;) But there’s a lovely subdued tone to John and Dean’s interaction that I think also won’t chase away folks that aren’t of that leaning.

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate the toen between them! I always find it strange writing dub-cons, trying to keep teh balance of power. Dean allowing himself to be abused, being used to it, but it still being abuse is an idea I want to play around with in this fiction even as I bring in other elements such as Jessica's relationship with Sam and the truth, and Sam's relationship with Dean and John. I'm babbling, sorry! Anyway thanks for recommending spndaddys_boy.comm I'd never heard of it!
