There was a scroll sitting on his desk that he hadn't put there. How long it had been there, Sokka didn't know. Not too long, probably, since it was on TOP of some of his diagrams for the Inventiontronics project, but still. He unrolled the scroll and looked at it -- it was written in real, actual writing, writing from home, and he realized that

There was a knock on the door and a slayer on the other side of it. "Sokka? Everything okay in there?"

Sokka snatched the letter away from Momo Jr. and went to open the door. "Yeah," he replied, still thinking about things. "I just got caught up to the beginning of S3 got a letter from home, and Momohead was chewing on it." He waved the scroll at her and leaned in for a quick kiss. "It turns out, Zuko's pretty much the same in every universe."

"You mean he's dating your sister in your universe too?" Mel teased after she kissed him back. "Man, you just can't win."

[sarcasm_guy]

"I don't think that'll happen," Sokka replied, frowning a little at the thought. "No, I meant he almost turned good and then stabbed people in the back. Hopefully, the real change of heart'll come soon."

He sighed and tossed the letter away. "Aaah, enough about Zuko. How's the dust bunny business?"
