OK so I'm in the middle of a whirlwind at work - basically I'm between my boss and her boss and being shafted both ways.

What it boils down to - who do I believe?

Well I believe my boss.

Problem with that, my boss believes my performance is below the level of expectation in presenting information to Leadership. Her boss seems to think I'm great -

Ouch. Keep your soul. I'm all about keeping your soul. Besides, you sound as if you are really trying to get preggers now and you plan on staying at home. Perhaps Gareth could start getting used to the idea of being sole provider now instead of when there is a 1 month old child crying on the top of his/her lungs at 1:30 in the morning right as you drift off to sleep. Too many changes at once can be rather stressful. I think that Gareth is mature enough to handle this responsibility. Please keep your soul. And poo to management for putting you in the middle of their squabble.
