this is gorgeous in so many ways. I love the silly sex, it's exactly the type of sex two people who are best friends would have with each other if they'd been waiting so long!

Oh wow, this was exactly the ONE THING that I wanted from the last fic but didn't quite get--I remember thinking, "this is totally awesome, but where's the B/R bit?" AND HERE IT IS.

AND IT IS GLORIOUS.

For real, the joking and the nervousness and the knowing each other so well, it was totally lovely.

It's like we found each other when we were too young I love this line more than air.

Ahh! Thank you so much for the kind feedback! Haha yeah, with the first fic, I wanted it to be focused on them all as a band and specifically on the Jon/Spencer relationship, and THEN Brendon/Ryan could get their own moment. I'm glad this fic fulfilled that for you too, 'cause it certainly did for me writing it. :D

I just got all sad because I scrolled down to look at the comments on this and there just...aren't really any. Whereas, back in the day, this fic would have had four thousand comments IMMEDIATELY because it is beautiful and slow, and just how I like my fics. People finally coming together is one of my favourite tropes, especially when it happens in this comfortable, easy way and not just because of wacky misunderstandings and the like. I'm just feeling all nostalgic, is all. (Speaking of, livejournal changed its format on me while I wasn't looking. I feel so oooold ( ... )

Bah, I've missed your epic, thoughtful comments on my fic! So much!

Well, it did get a tiiiny bit more response on AO3, but yeah, I hear ya. I guess bandom is still around now but in a completely different way, so I hear. Like, Brendon/Spencer is big, which yay! That was sort of our OTP! But it means, I think, Brendon/Ryan and Jon/Spencer fics are being overlooked, like, unless bandomfolk from our era (lol god we're so old and bitter) get nostalgic and look for it. IDK. First loves. Sigh.

Anyways, thank you! So much! I'm so pleased you loved it, and all the points you make really -- the lazy summer evening and the finding and the fucking. That was a strange sentence I just typed, haha. But yes. And I'm so glad their characterizations worked for you, especially in how comfortable they are with each other.
