ASLE 2009, Day 1

After a looooong day of travel that began at 3am and is now finally mostly over (at 9:30 pm my time), I've reached Victoria. Okay, maybe we're different kinds of travel writer and we'll leave it at that. I am definitely going to search for the Leon novels. Huh. I didn't know you were heading out there. I love Victoria, and visit it (and my best friend from my Master's program, who lives there) as often as I can.

I would definitely return to this area for a longer stay/vacation type thing. Too bad I'll be at the university for most of the week. I do love the conference, but when I'm in a new place I want to explore it. Anything you recommend here?

Have you read The Time-Traveler's Wife? This Patterson books sounds like a similar idea, but way pervier.

The Time Traveler's Wife sounded too depressing for me. And YES, it was incredibly pervy.

Suddenly I feel as though I will have regrets if I die without ever having worn a kilt and a bear suit at the same time. Or never, at the very least, see someone else *rock* that look.
