Washing the napkins and placemats has proved the value that might've been gained by sampling. The placemats match, even if by modern standards they're more like napkins, but the napkins are significantly different sizes. Don't you just love what different fiber content combinations do?

I think that napkins count as sampling. Now if you want to do a big piece you know what it will do!

Good point. I've got lots more of all the yarns involved, and may end up doing it again, possible for the Medieval Textiles sample exchange. Knowing how it'll all behave could be really useful.
