Cheerleading sucks/Haunted House stuff

Thank you everyone for being so supportive about my neck injury. Everyone was really nice about it well, minus the people that would go behind me and be like "hey Sarah" just so I would turn around and look dumb. I'm really glad people didn't really make fun of me and when they did it was all in good fun ( Read more... )

hello my sarah. first off, i love u too! and dont worry, more happiness will come to u to overpower the loss of something u used to love. i can guarantee it. secondly, its awesome how dedicated u are to leaders, and even if u are never an exec. keep that spirit up, because its people like u that make things like that great. passion will always outdo titles, never forget that.
i totally can relate to u saying u are stubborn and wont apologize to your dad when u get into fights n such. im sooo like that, if i dont think im wrong i will not apologize. be sure to let me know what he has up his sleeve for u though! its so exciting that ur 16th birthday is coming up, yay! talk to u soon hun!

"Cheerleading is a sport but it's also supposed to be fun"

Very nice way to contradict yourself there. You're right, it should be fun. However, the aspect that should be the most fun is when you're at a game, showing the world what you can do because you've practiced. Now, you can't exactly have fun and show them stuff like that until you've worked hard during practice and got it right. Is that not true? You're one of those people that want to get out there and know what they're doing without wanting to work for it. And I know this isn't the first time.

There's a few people in the school you should get to know. One guy from the football team and one girl from the soccar team both just quit recently because "all the fun was sucked out of the sport." Funny. Those people, have gone through the exact same practices and trianing as the rest of the team, but all the other players stay strong and stay part of it.

There are those people that stay part of the sport because they love what they're doing and they know how to have fun ( ... )

or it could be that it really *used* to be fun, but now ofcourse it isn't because...people don't make it fun? Practice and work *can* be fun. So shut up you poop head and get a life and quit attacking people.

If it's no fun any more, then why is the rest of the squad still there and part of it?

Oh wait, I already said that, because it's Sarah, not the sport.

SPORTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, dumbass! The rest of the squad hates it just as much as I do and they tell me so every day so don't be giving that shit you ass. They say how much they want to quit but they're parents would kill them and for various other reasons. I know who this is. It's very obvious and it's very obvious why you're sticking up for who you are sticking up for. Why don't you just back off and go to hell. Now I understand why no one likes you and I'm sorry I ever stuck up for you. And what the hell is up with being a little pussy and not leaving your name? I definitely know who you are so you're just dumb. I really don't give a shit about what you think of me or my feelings so don't even bother putting your two cents in. I may be lazy sometimes but I don't mind the hard work or the crazy practices. It's not even that. I feel like the hard practices were actually good for me. They kept me in shape and made me feel more energized. Don't assume shit, you ass. Don't compare me to any of the people that quit any other sports ( ... )

hey again sarah greekgal October 12 2003, 22:46:32 UTC
well well well sarah, it looks like this personal decision of yours has created quite a debate with people trying to see things from all different sides and trying to prove each other wrong. first off i think that anyone who reads this should respect your decision to leave the squad no matter why you did. you didnt bring down the whole squad in some revolt or anything, so why make it into a huge deal. secondly, i have always felt that leaving anonymous posts to peoples' journal entries is foolish. if you are bothering to read a person's journal and are bothering to voice your opinion, show that you believe strongly enough in what you have to say and put your name down. so until you anonymous people believe in what you say enough to put your names down, how about you not bash sarah for doing something she believed in. okay? i thought so.
