But to the meat of your post, I personally agree that she shouldn't have sent them to to another state to be entered into the State Fair, but I can see a possible reason that perhaps might make it a touch more acceptable: she may not have a local fair category in her state she can enter the items into.
I don't know what she made, so I don't know how likely it is she would have a category in her state fair for her art. Arizona's State Fair has become very hard to enter non "traditional south-west" art into. My aunt-in-law (though she's more a sister than my husband's aunt) does gorgeous Celtic art and there just isn't a place for it at the Fair.

She has a little bit of everything. I mean that pretty seriously too, she had a lot of different stuff and "M" found a category for it all, which is how I found out actually "M" posted about finding categories for everything.
I do find it slightly less annoying if they were entered here because she didn't have a category for it. I still don't like it (maybe she should petition HER fair), but I feel less irritated by it. Thanks for the thought.
Honestly though Kenton and I were thinking about checking out the fair stuff and see if anything is marked out of state, if so we are thinking about saying something to the powers that be.

Which brings me to the other thing that would have made me like this situation more that doesn't appear to be happening... Kel goes in person to every fair she displays her art in. This girl is mailing it to a fair she isn't attending. I'm not okay with that, even though I do understand why she might be doing it.
