I do think that a lot of games these days are designed for HD. I sympathize on that topic, definitely.
All of the dialogue in Skyrim is voiced, but I suspect that item stats, quest notes etc. would be easier to read in HD. Screenshots might be the way to tell.
The "sleeveless tunic" part amuses me - in part because half of the NPCs swan around in peasant garb / mages' robes / general finery, even in the towns that are buried in snow. Put a coat on!
That seems to be so common, doesn't it? Maybe the designers thought that a bunch of cozy cloaks were less visually interesting even if they were more practical.

Do you have to read a lot of text to do quests and whatnot?
My TV is less than stellar, so I had to give up Dragon Age because I needed to refer to a lot of text I couldn't read. :|
