They are fun covers for guessing who people are meant to be

How graciously you put this. :-)

Oh, but I mean it: different things work differently in foreign markets, so I've seen a gritty urban fantasy about a girl sleeping rough on the streets get a foreign cover of a girl in a wood with a teeny dragon. I just want it to be pretty, to trust them and just hope it will sell. ;) Plus, I am pretty sure the dude is Nick. *adds him to her Nick collection*

I guess selling is the important part! After that the books speak for themselves.

*laughs and nods* Well-said, both of you, and it is fascinating to see what foreign markets think work for sales.

I am sort of kicking my feet and throwing a gleeful, ecstatic tantrum waiting for Team Human to come out in the US. I know it won't be for seven months or so, but I can wait seven months.* I think. Maybe? It's just that the Lexicon trilogy was so GOOD (OMG I LOVE JAMIE) and I feel like the plot of Team Human is just what I need.

*I waited longer than that for Seanan McGuire's books, and she still has unpublished books in the queue, damn her.

It comes out in the US first, so you guys are the early birds. ;) I'm confident you can wait that long, and also glad you haven't decided you're going to wait a year and seven months. ;) And I am very pleased that you did read the Lexicon trilogy after all (oh, me of little faith), and that you liked it!

I'm confused. Are those the German paperbacks? And why is the title different from when Demon's Lexicon first came out over here?

Anyway, this is very exciting! I can't wait for Team Human wheeeeen can I get my hands on it give it to meee.

Yes, those are the German paperbacks. It is a whole new look! Sometimes books do this: Robin Wasserman's Skinned series became the Cold Awakening series, with all new covers and titles, as below: http://www.malindalo.com/2011/11/this-is-what-ya-sci-fi-looks-like/

I am very much hoping people will like eeeee. ;)

I'm really curious about the German covers. The guy in the first one is obviously nick and since the title says "Magician and Demon"... the lady is Olivia?

The other one puzzles me, because I'say Mae for the girl in back but her hair is wrong and Mae + Olivia (dark!Lady seems to be the same) doesn't fit, not to mention Mae is not a demon.

Summing up, I have no idea!

My guess would be the lady on both the covers is Mae, but... hmm. The other girl could be either of her friends, Rachel or Erica, who are timorously following her in the first scene of Covenant! Whoo! At last, Erica/Rachel's time to shine. ;)

Hehe, the guy on the first cover looks like RPatts. And the background lady on the second cover looks like you!

Hee! Now I am picturing me sneaking up behind Mae and being all 'Sorry about giving you those boyfriends in this book. You know, the compulsive liar, the gay guy and the demon. Sorry.'
