So today is the day I launch the contest for my one and only advance copy of The Demon's Surrender.

'I only have one copy,' I wailed to people unlucky enough to be in earshot. 'What on earth can I ask for? I loved last year's art and vids and songs! How do I decide between different things

I am afraid my main reaction to this post is not 'oo, what can I make re. Lexicon' but 'awww, Alan!' I just finished reading Covenant to my Friend To Whom I Read Books over the weekend, which left me (again!) with the strong urge to cuddle Alan until it is all fixed, so the poster above just makes me all protective and fond.

(Also, I have already pre-ordered Surrender, so. :))

Mission accepted. Now to find a plane- um, I mean, magic markers. I wish I were a sculptor. I'd make a statue that looked like a knife and give it to the city. Everyone would remark on its awesome and terrible beauty. I would emerge from a shadow to reply that it is only a diminished representation of the awesome and terrible Sarah Rees Brennan, but she is too exalted to gaze upon with their mortal eyes. Then I would hand out copies of DL saying, "To know Her Word is to know SRB. And all who know Her, love Her. But beware - She is not a tame writer." Ah, if I were a sculptor- but then again, no- or a man who makes potions in a travelling show... Well I'm not sure how that would help but I would be like a sexy circus-y Snape, and that can't be bad. In conclusion you are the awesomest and terriblest and I love you.
