Off to Florida, Hold the Fort! Also: Demons in the Holy Land!

Currently I am packing to go to Florida, about which I have already blogged! My methods of packing: race about the house in a wildly disorganised fashion, with a set of heels in one hand and my passport in the other. On more than one occasion, have tipped a drawer into a bag and announced, 'I'll see what I'm wearing when I get there ( Read more... )

I know you're to be in Orlando, but any chance you might be venturing further south down towards West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, or Miami? *grinning hopefully*

No chance at all. I'm just there for the convention, I leave again on Sunday! We tried to get me a bookshop gig, but clearly news I am trouble has spread. ;)

Well, rats. :(

I will say this, as someone who lived in Orlando for several years, and now live in West Palm. Stick with breathable fabrics as you pack. Orlando is landlocked, so they don't get the lovely breezes that we can down here on the coast. You might also want to make sure to bring at least one light sweater since inside where the AC is blasting can get really chilly!

Have a safe trip and let us know how you enjoy Orlando. :)

I'm so sorry I won't be able to go 'cross state and meet you! I'd love to get an autograph. :)

Just a day or two ago, I finished Demon's Covenant, and loved it so much that I read it right away again, just as with Lexicon. Such a marvelous world and characters. Mae and Jamie have terrific dialogue. The Ryves' and Crawfords make such an interesting, resourceful and fun Team Demon.

*beams* I am so pleased you liked the book! Team Demon is my favourite team, of course, and I love all the members of it so dearly that I am thrilled when others like 'em too. ;)

I am walking to Books of Wonder RIGHT NOW and ordering more hardcover DEMON'S LEXICONs.

(One of the reasons I love my job. Because Books of Wonder only 4 blocks away. That and, you know, I read and breathe books and get paid for it.)

How I miss the days when the Strand was on my way home from work! And also, yay. ;)

I think that's my favorite cover so far. Up until now it's been the Brit cover, but that's because (sorry) I dislike the US one. Luckily, I am currently in Brittania, and can thus buy the one I want.

But anyway! Beautiful cover!

Hebrew cover is nicer than the American one in my opinion. And I just checked out your soft cover at the library since well you signed my hardcover and didn't want to spoil it, and was shocked that it was out so quickly.

Glad one brother stabbed is good and the other is making money with his gambling ways! And you don't melt in Florida; it is hot! *wishes you luck*

Being out in a year(ish) is pretty standard, though? But in any case I hope you enjoy the book!

Omigosh, has it been that long?!

Oops, my bad. For some reason it didn't seem that long. Yikes. Time flies when you have had too much fun?

Pretty much. Lexicon came out June 2nd 2009 in hardback, and April 28th in paperback. So a month earlier than usual, but still not so swift. Anyway, I hope you have fun with the book. ;)
