This summary/parody makes me laugh so loud I frighten the cats.

For three years, *The Little White Horse* was my favourite book in the whole world. That was thirty years ago, but I'm still terribly fond of it, and, bizarrely, I was able to recall quite a lot of the story from memory when watching the film.

...this was possibly not altogether a good thing, and I didn't even eat the pancakes.
