The Mentalist whoopdy-doop

It's 22 below zero here and we had no power for 4 hours during the night. It turned into a sleepless night spent trying to get all the dogs and cats under the covers so they would be toasty warm as the house got colder and colder and colder. YIKES! But it's all good now, since the power is back on, the house is back to 62 degrees of warmth, and the ( Read more... )

omg. it's going to go below zero with the windchill today and i'm about to die just thinking about it. i can't even imagine 22 below and no heat! dear gods.
i mean...that could seriously kill you!
the yawping OM#$G*& we're being persecuted mentality is sadly prevalent throughout my mostly beloved neo-pagan community. i know i can't change it, but i sure as hell refuse to participate.

I did send CBS a note because I think there is a difference between showing a charactor who is mentally unbalanced who happens to be of Religion X and making it clear that only people who are mentally unbalanced would possibly choose to be in Religion X ( ... )

I don't care for the show in the first place, primarily because the main character comes across as a smug, smarmy dickhead.

I felt the writers could have handled the storyline much better, that they tried too hard to present every possible POV on witchcraft and the entire episode was unfocused because of that.

I watched it, and meh. I was more upset that it was just a really poorly written show than anything.

It looks very much to me like a rip off of Law and Order Criminal Intent. Trying for a younger, blond Bobby Goran - but no one is better than Bobby! Except maybe Sherlock Holmes ;)

I probably won't watch it again. But, I liked the episode of Without a Trace that was on afterwards, so it wasn't a total loss ;)

Glad to hear you have power again. With all of the snow, that it the one thing I am really glad didn't happen this year. Power outages in the city just aren't as cool as they are out in the sticks, where you can pretend that you are camping or whatnot.

Yeah, this is old, but I need to comment.

The Mentalist has gone after other religions, too--including wacky Christians, and other "extremists" (which this "Wiccan" was, in a way).

And I love the show. Simon Baker is HAWT, and his character is hilarious. Win/win for me!
