Sugar makes my teeth hurt

I'm going a little bit stir crazy at the moment, I would say that I'm working on various applications for internships and such like but in all honesty I've spent this week doing fuck all. Well not completely fuck all, I've done about 7 loads of laundry, made a huge batch of split pea soup (YUM) and done other exciting things like rearrange the ( Read more... )

I jumped on the IVO bandwagon a few updates ago - it really is a well-written story. And I stumbled on Wide Awake after seeing everyone jizzing about updates coming in (I think it was at about half where it is now) and I really do love that story too. Probably because it's so different than anything else I've read.

I'm so picky about my fic. I only read stuff that's either M or NC-17. I don't read the fluffy puppies, rainbows and kitties teenage bullshit. If I'm going to read something, I want it to be adult. I can't read RPF, and I find myself really like AU-Human stuff, which is odd.

I have so many fics on my favorites list both on FF.net and Twilighted. And they always seem to update at the same time. FML. :)

Have you read JenWordSong's version of Breaking Dawn? I can't remember what it's called, but it's everything I had hoped BD would be. :)

Love this comment! Thanks so much for the rec of breaking dawn, I've been wondering if there was a re-write of the epic fail for some time now. I'll definitely be looking it up.
I'm with you on the rainbows and kittens crapola, I'm too old for that shizz. I'm really only just discovering twilighted.net and getting an understanding of the amount of work some people put into their fics. Its amazing, I love that people are that inspired and that creative, even if its terrible stuff, I love that they're working away, writing in their bedrooms. I know Twilight and Harry Potter aren't Shakespeare but the fact that it got millions of kids reading books and writing fanfic is just wonderful to me.

Dude, I'm totally looking up those two fics. I'm with you on the canon thing, but I'm really trying to keep an open mind that just because Edward is a gas station attendant in New Jersey doesn't mean it can't be well-written fic. I'm trying to think like that, and failing most of the time. Wide Awake comes across to me that its basically a decent story where the main characters happen to be named Edward and Bella. Imho they could be named Jack and Jill and it'd still be an entertaining story its almost incidental that she made them E&B.

Oh Twitter you pain in the arse. I'll try it again, my net connection is currently slower than Paula Abdul on vicodin which is why I haven't been on MSN lately, damn thing won't connect. I'll keep trying and if by some miracle I get on we'll have to do it really quick or something. I was wondering why I hadn't been seeing you tweet!

BTW hope the doggie is doing better ♥♥♥

didn't i say IVO was great? the last couple of chapters have been so fantastic.

i don't know how you feel about jasper and alice but there's some great fanfic i can link you to. it fills in the gaps before jasper met alice and right before they join up with the cullens.
