 I realized I never came back to LJ to explain the post break up ness. It actually did end up just being a break. It was incredible how during our time/space we both thought very similar things and it was also nice to hear him voice them first because to me that made it seem more sincere and less forced

Hey Sarah, I'm glad to hear that things worked out after all and that your break helped you to crystallize important things about your relationship! Sometimes you have to go through bad times to become stronger.

It sounds like how OURS went, actually. By the end of the night of (one of) our pre-dating breakups, I still felt closer to Ricki than ever before, even though she assured me that it would never work. I'm glad to prove her wrong =)
But that step was definitely one of the key foundation stones that our relationship was built on. I pray that this ends up perfect for you!

Isn't it weird how that works. Once you give something up you realize how much you want it and then you want it just as badly as you did in the first place.

Katie and I had that... we had a "let's just be friends" talk and in the end we were so open and honest with each other that it made us feel all the closer and the next day we decided "Let's not just be friends after all."
