I can do any evening except for 12th, 15th and 18th December and I can do any daytime performance at the weekend. I'd prefer not to go between Christmas and New Year because I'll be at my parent's house, which is further away. Apart from that, I don't mind when.

I'd prefer not the cheap seats, because I've had the cheapest seats before and the people on stage are ant-sized.

I'd love to attend. But airfare is the killer. :(

Have fun you guys.

I may just be an ignorant American and all, but what is a "panto?" Yeah, I could look it up...okay, I DID look it up...but I'd like to hear it described in less technical terms than "a performance genre traditionally found in Great Britain, Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Southern Ireland, and is usually performed during the Christmas and New Year season."

It sounds like something I'd love to attend, being Lis and all, but I don't have enough miles saved up to get a cheap airfare. (And Frontier doesn't fly to the UK that I know of and that's what all my saved up miles are in anyway...)

Its a sort of family theatre ususally shown around christas time, usually with celebs that arent doing so well in their careers *not Lis, she's doin great!*

They do fairy tales usually.

I'm American too and I had the exact same question, and I went to look it up in the exact same place. Now that I've read the article, I kind of want to go see one. But yeah, Windsor is a little hard to get to from here . . .

It's called a pantomime. It's usually a family stage show that's funny and often gets the audience involved.
Normally they're all fairytales. Aladin is another common one that's performed.

I'm happy with anytime, and the front stall seats seem reasonable for a late matinee.

Just to put in my two pennies worth, I'm going to the 18th December show at 2:30pm. Hoorah! And I can't really go to any other :( Still, if you do all arrange something, I hope you all have good fun!
