Project 2009: August Status Report

At the end of 2008, I posted about wanting 2009 to be about doing new scary things that I'd been scared to do in the past. As part of that, I'm posting a 'status update' at the end of each month. Here are the things I've done for Project 2009 in August (late because of Burning Man):

Cool beans. Clearing out any interesting hardware?

Poi looks cool. A friend of mine participates in a firespinning group, and a few of their members use flaming poi. I've also been a bit curious myself about the meteor hammer, which is somewhat similar.

The two VAXen, my older HP-UX box, an Indigo, and an Indigo2, right now. Don't have space for any hardware I'm not actively using, so these need to find elsewhere to live. None of them are remotely rare machines, so finding a new one if I want to play with it sometime down the road should be easy. The Xerox isn't going anywhere ;)
