Yay Moko! I'venot heard that story about her/him before. I say her/him because I've always heard the dolphin referred to both ways. S/he's a funny dolphin. I've been swimming, well, not with her, but stood and watched the mob of thirty odd people trying to get to her. She was having fun coming up underneath the guy on the surf board and towing him around on her back, but not letting anyone else too near ( ... )

I was glad there wasn't 30 people there, but I still wish I could've touched her...

Snorkelling?! Now you tell me! Hah. I never did do any good snorkelling in NZ... ah well, just another reason to come back. And if I do, I would like to spend more time in certain places rather than being on the road 70% of the time! Thank you again for the paua shells... they are so pretty and a wonderful reminder of my trip. :)

Yeah, motion sickness does not bode well with NZ roads. :p On a windy road in Australia, there was a sign that said, "Winding road ENDS in 3km", as if to say, "If you've got a motion sick passenger, no worries -- you're ALMOST there!". Hahaha.

She was quite famous for awhile, so it is likely!

lovely photos, and I do like your descriptions of how/when/where too.
I find it so hard sometimes to keep going without stopping every few feet to take another photo. thank heavens for digital cameras.

That took forever to write, so I'm glad people are reading the words too. If I could just paste a bunch of pictures up with no words, I'd be up-to-date in no time! But alas, even *I* won't remember what the pictures are of in a few years, if I don't caption them and write about the experiences I had to get them. :)

I know exactly how it is. you can imagine how I now feel because this computer has randomly re-assigned all my photos from the Olympus site to other folders in 'my pictures'. and I mean all.
took me ages to find them, hidden in sub-folders, and all mixed up with ones my husband had taken. oh, and all the descriptions had gone, along with the videos. just for our last trip, I'm talking over 1,000 photos. if I try to redo the descriptions, it then puts them in alphabetical order instead of sequential. *scream*
