We chose to stand at the bow of the boat, and within minutes of moving out onto the open water, we hit a huge swell and ( Read more... )

your pictures of the whales are amazing!! when i was in grade 6 my family and i went to hawaii where we went on a whale watching trip and the same thing happen, a mother and her calf swam right up to the boat, under and around, it was awesome! i had a mad crush on humpbacks after that :) Morgan and i were in Tofino this summer and went on a boat trip, we only saw one right whale for like 30 seconds and 1 humpback for a little bit, but it was still so cool. brought back my crush big time.
i love when you post because it means i get a new background for my computer! it was a waves on the rocks shot a few days ago but now it's the whale tail. thanks! :)

I think I did a science fair project on whales when I was in middle school. They are such amazing animals! I felt very privileged to witness such a display. And I'm glad the pics are having use further than only being viewed on the blog! :)

beautiful pictres! You're making me wanna go there now lol. Awesome whale shots! Jeez those waves look like our deep sea fishing tour in the dominican where I was very sea sick and so was ryan. Within the first 45 minutes so we had to stay out there for another 2-3 hours. I wanted somebody to shoot me! lol

Well you can fly here for almost the same price as a holiday in Mexico, so do it!

I think boats like that should have a mandatory nausea tester... they put you in a capsule and shake it all around to see if you are strong-stomached enough to go out on the boat. lol! Or they should have kayaks attached to the boat so that you can abandon ship if need be. ;)

I'm sorry you are having such bad luck---meeting up with experts; being at the right place at the right time; things happening that have never happened before....

Yeah, it's been a pretty terrible trip so far! Jeez, can't catch a break (but I hope I'll be able to when I try surfing). ;)
