I'm sorry about your kitty dying. :( He was a very pretty cat. Sometimes animals get sick and you do all you can, and they fight to live as well, but there's just nothing that can be done to save them. I've had guinea pigs like that, where they seem fine and then one day, boom, they're sick and they're gone before you even know it. Animals, like people, can be fragile. *Hugs*
