So... Apparently, a member of LJ staff has commented on the epic thread of hate going on over on news. This so far is the only comment from a (supposed?) member of the LJ team regarding the pingback/crossposting features

Poll's up at 10520 counters on "Awful" - I backed out, and making myself comfy at dreamwidth, using LJ as picture storage (it's a paid account, so I'll use it). Maybe the ladies and men in charge come to their senses again...
