That's part of the fun of this journal of hers: it's all from her perspective, and personal perspectives are very rarely objective things. Add in a Beast that plays on her Vice, as well as other twistings of the blood, and you wind up with something that is a somewhat coloured version of events, even if she's trying to record things as they really happened.
