Picture in your mind, please, my living room.  I think I've decided I'm staying a while, so it's time to start buying furniture that I like, instead of dealing with furniture that has been given to me.

The thing that I have in there (cupboardy thing? with the drawers?) is falling apart.  I tried to move it and it was having none of that.  what do ( Read more... )

I like the first one the best, but the last one looks like it has more storage space.

Did you remember to vote yesterday? Or did you skip it because Eric Smith One Tough Prosecutor wasn't running?

I like the first one the best as well, I think. I can always put book cases in another part of the house. Plus i bought a book cart today that I can keep books on. Hmm. Going to Ikea anytime soon? I need to look at this thing in person...I wonder if the box can fit in my truck.

Sadly I don't vote in Detroit. I can't change my mailing address--I did another test of the mail system (a cousin sent me a postcard from NC)...and it failed. I've got student loans and crap to deal with, there's no way I can have that stuff sent to my apartment.

I vote for the first one too. It's nice and simple. And looks like it's from Ikea

I vote for the last one because it has palm trees on it, which makes it FABULOUS! I love it.

I like the top one --even better than the one in the next post. Though, you may want to take the budget of your favorite one and see what you can get in real vintage items for that price --and even make an offer if it is less than double what you want to pay (in this economy an antique dealer may go for it --especially when you say the upper limit is the Ikea price). Good luck.

I'm curious --have you tried the mead? What was your opinion?

I like that one best too, I think. At this point I like the idea of something clean and new---though there's a couch at a place in royal oak that i really want! We'll see, I'm in no huge hurry.

I haven't tried it yet--can't now because i'm so sick, but maybe next weekend! I'm waiting to have someone around to try it with me!
