so i thought this break was going to be dull because so many people are away, but after borders on friday, i realized that it'll be pretty good after all. we mostly sat around the cafe by the musicians and talked about how we must tie-dye easter eggs, go to the city, make an excursion to mr. cheapo's, and NOT see "blades of glory" or "shooter ( Read more... )

I like my family too, as incredibly dysfunctional as they all are ;) I don't know, but it seems like a lot of teenagers just totally break away from their family. I'm really good friends with my cousins, and since my parents are divorced, my aunts on my dad's side are like my part-time mothers, and my uncles on my mom's side are my part-time dads. I have to say though, the "baby in the oven" thing made me laugh :)

I'm think i'm gonna go on the nyu website and get them to send me mail, even though the odds are against me for that school

yeah, it's like what you were saying on the SO bus about irish families, right?

you definitely should bother them for mail. i can't even imagine how awesome it would be to have you at nyu with me! and don't worry about "the odds"; first of all, you have a good shot as is, and second of all, my cousin got mostly C's and B's and got into nyu (albeit, as an art student). i don't know what exactly you'd be planning on going for, but keep in mind that you're basically applying to a specific school/program, so you don't really need to kick butt in all acadmic areas or anything.

yea, i agree with the applying for nyu. My mom even kept telling me that i probably wasn't getting into any of the schools i applied to and then i did so ya never know. :)

Sara! Well, I didn't get into NYU, I got waitlisted, but I do say, if you're doing the Summer counselor program for the Town, DO IT! It's so much fun :) It'll be my 3rd year this year and I love it :D

im so happy sara! i cant wait till college! we'll both be close so we can chill and go to vegetarian restaurants, and art museums and all sorts of things together! i love you!!!
