Draco’s head hung low over his cup of lukewarm coffee. His robe was dangling off his pale naked frame. Sitting at the kitchen table and staring into the open newspaper was his favorite hobby these past few weeks since Harry had left him at a family party, met a new friend, and had not come back to their home.
Draco knew it was completely over between the two men, but yet he had hoped that there might be just a brief little spark left. Thanks to the grapevine; he knew this was only a dream. Harry had met Jason at his job at the library and that little spark of hope had, almost, burned completely out. He realized that he’d lost his one true love. Draco laughed grimly and silently in his head because he’d known that they’d probably never last. He did not even expect they’d have had the past 2 years they did share as a couple. The bad part was that he still loved Harry even though the feelings weren’t mutual. All the selfishness, bossiness and plain ugly rich kid sarcasm had worn thin and Harry had finally said enough.
It had been weeks since they were involved; still it felt as if it was yesterday for Draco. Why could he not shake this? He was good at forgetting the little she whores he picked up now and again, but not Harry. The night of his father’s cocktail party was it though. Harry did not take the rich boy you are my slave and slut banter Draco had insinuated into his conversations with of all his father’s guests. Harry was tired of Draco belittling him and being made a mockery of. So he’d left. That was the last Draco had seen of him.
A rattle in the driveway made Draco look up in surprise. It was Harry! He’d finally come to his senses! Draco jumped up and threw open the door.
“Where were you last night? Better yet, where have you been these last few weeks?” Draco quipped sarcastically.
“I’m not here to talk to you; I just came by to get a few things.” Was all Harry said, as he walked by and ignored the opened armed, waiting Draco.
“Fine then, I won’t bother.” Draco said as he slid an arm around Harry and tried to spin him to where they were facing each other.
“STOP IT!” Harry yelled and threw him down “I can’t! I won’t! Oh hell! I want coffee.”
Snickering, Draco poured Harry a nice big cup, added 2 sugars and a drip of cream. He set it on the table where Harry was now seated and pulled the adjoining chair close.
“Now where were we?” Draco said, as he smiled sensuously.
