A bit unexpected Harry dead. Always foresaw a possibility of his death but still can't contemplate it and the panic and fright that has befallen Cedric is rather depressing and sad. Death is never an easy thing to cope with and especially such a violent one. Can't wait to see how Cedric deals with the outcome and how Harry's friends may treat him? I can figure Ron's reaction but Hermione is another story.

Great story.

Thank you. It was a bit of a daunting decision to off Harry from the start, but it will help to fuel Cedric's story.

Cedric's issues with death (particularly Harry's, amongst others) are going to be very interesting to broach.

Thank you, again! :)

This is strange for me, because I'm not normally too fond of fics where one of the major cannon characters is dies or is dead, but you've hooked me with this one. lol So I'm going to bookmark this journal and keep haunting it for more story.

Thanks for writing this!

*blushes* Thank you! I'm really excited about where this is all going to go.

Killing Harry was really hard for me, actually, as I'm very sympathetic towards the poor kid, who is really a hero of circumstance who simply rises to the challenges set before him. But it seemed to me like something Harry would do - throwing himself in the way to save Cedric, to give him that moment to get back to the Goblet. And from that "what if?" it all sprung...

Poor Dumbledore. He's in such a hard place right now. Poor Cedric, though; his place is even worse. *pats them both*

This story is turning into quite the project, but I'm looking forward to continue writing it! *glances at pages of notes, grins*

Sorry, I'll actually be making it clearer in the next chapter (I think) - Cedric does see Voldie's return. Harry just throws himself in the way of the AK when Voldemort decides that he's done toying with Cedric. :)

(That's some of the exposition lump that got reworked, actually, along with what's going on with Moody. :D )

I like how this is going. It looks so far as if Dumbledore plans to put Cedric in Harry's place as The Chosen One. Your description of the panic attack was terrifyingly great. Have you had them before?

I can't wait to read more.

Thank you!

Mmmm, well, we'll see, won't we? *grin*

As for the panic attack - while I've not had one with such severity, I've definitely experienced them. I have issues with large, crushing crowds. :)

Thank you, again! I'm enjoying writing this.
