Sitting here watching a bit of The Lawrence Welk Show on PBS and remembering how this was a much-anticipated family-hour of TV watching when I was a kid.

And now feeling like a hick. LOL

Tell me, this was a cool thing to be watching back then. Right? RIGHT?Hehe. No wonder my mother was appalled by her daughters' later Michael Jackson vid watching

LOL... your mom's reaction reminds me of my mom's reaction to my music. "Get that loud crap off!!" she'd yell about my Anne Murray, ABBA and Osmond Brothers' music....and about five years later, after I'd married and moved out, I'd hear her say wistfully "I wish you and your nice music were back. Your sister listens to such awful stuff....Black something, Ozzy somebody"
