I love Hans Huberman and Death-- Though I think the Red, white and black mentioned (if you're talking about when Death talked about them in the beginning of the book) were representing the Nazi Flag. Or at least that's what the tinny illustration included there told me.

XDDD I love Gilbert's last costume ♥ he looks totally badass! :DDD there was a discussion a few while ago, I remember that the last costume is a Tanker division uniform. SS is a division on the Nazi Germany army if I remember correctly.
The Book Thief seems veeeery interesting. About book stealing exaggerated... just my sudden theory, but maybe spread of information was discouraged, so not everyone allowed to read books?
