I'm also studying a language right now; I'm taking Japanese 1.
If you're serious about wanting to learn a new language, I find that it helps to make flash cards for everything. Verbs, nouns, conversational skills, characters, etc. I also label stuff in my bedroom with pieces of paper and tape, so that when I pick up my dictionary, I see the "jisho" label written in hiragana.
I'm better at learning a language if I write it, though. I was constantly writing the hiragana characters (46 of them) when we were learning them in class.
Which language do you like best so far? You seem to have an interest in quite a few. :D
I want to learn Japanese so I don't have to wait for fansubs.
We had the flashcards before . . . but I'm lazy on it. Practicing it (as in speaking or writing in that language ocassionally) is better practice for me. hehe.
I'm better in learning a language if I write or say it many times (as in use it often, not exactly to repeat it over and over).
I practice my hiragana and katakana while attempting to read them in RAW manga or in japanese restaurants/shops that I spot xD hehe. I have less difficulty in writing kanji, but it's confusing for me to remember how they're read in japanese, since I've already memorized how they're read in chinese xD haha.
What language I like best? It's difficult to pick because all languages are beautiful and interesting in their own way xD
And LOL! I also wanted to learn japanese because I'm too impatient to wait for subs xD haha!
