Woohoo! I was wondering if we'd ever see this again. (Once again, you've managed to distract me from a rather urgent homework assignment. This fic does NOTHING for my self control.)

Oh, Rose. Darling girl. I just... I feel for her, so much. I mean, I felt terribly for Martha in the same position, but this is so much more painful.

"No but I remember - it was important, it was...Christmas, Christmas, Christmas...Oh!"

When John said that my heart just about broke. It was just so undeniably, unmistakably Doctor. And as fun a puppy as John Smith is... I'm starting to miss my favorite Time Lord quite sharply.

*crosses fingers for minimal angst and maximal fluffiness when the fob watch is opened and they have The Talk.*

Oops :S as a champion procrastinator myself I do apologise as it won't help get your homework done. That said, I'm glad you like this enough to waylay homework to read it XD

Poor Rose. When she falls she falls hard and fast poor love :(

It's so funny how the Doctor keeps leaking through just in small amounts. It's almost like he's the Doctor but has just lost his memories.

Minimal angst and maximal fluff? Oh dear, I'm glad you haven't read my Lost fanfiction :P otherwise you'd know exactly what to expect in terms of fluff/angst ratios with my fic!

Hence the crossing of the fingers.

... would asking nicely help?

The power of the gif does compel me but you'll probably have to beg and grovel to get anything past my muse. She's quite often a snaky, angst obsessed cow :P which can be decidedly traumatic for my readers but nevermind.

...eeeee we will have to see.

(Omg I love their little smiles in that gif ^_^ SOCUTE!!)

Poor John and Rose.
Him not knowing his life is coming to an end and her having to be responsible of that!

Exactly. It's so much worse for Rose as well than it was for Martha because she cares so much for John and is torn between him and the Doctor because...they're kind of the same man and she loves them both.

Oh the angst! Thank you for reading :)

Oh, How I have loved this story. I am torn between watning to know how it ends and wanting it to go one for quite a bit longer.

Me too actually :P I've so enjoyed writing it I wish I could just keep writing John and Rose together for months and months and months! Alas, then there would be no plot and no driving force :( so onwards with the angst we must go.

More soon :)

I was going to write "evil, evil cliffhanger", but it's not really as if we didn't know that was coming, is it? Sigh. This chapter was full of emotional landmines for Rose. The whole thing about wanting to give John his Christmas, but feeling obligated to set the Doctor free was just heartbreaking. I loved John and Joan complimenting her - I love Rose's compassion and joy. I can't wait for the next chapter...

It's kind of a cliffhanger without being a cliffhanger because we do know what comes next to an extent but of course there will be discrepancies. You wait til Rose meets the Family :D I'm so looking forward to that!

I do feel bad for Rose. Like you said, emotional landmines. She's so torn between John and the Doctor when they're so much the same man and yet so different. I love her compassion too, it's something I've always loved about her *squishes Rose*

Christmas is yet another thing that wasn't really covered in the episodes but I really wanted to explore that here because of course John would be planning for the future, unknowing that his end is coming and Christmas can be such a special holiday.

Lol. To be fair he was already eating it when she came in and she did distract him from finishing it (inadvertently but still).

Thanks for reading!
