Great start! I was a huge Charlie fan (got into Lost via following Dominic Monaghan from LOTR).

Hate to nitpick, but: one tiny, tiny thing to point out. You might want to change "triage of rare steaks" to "trio of rare steaks". "Triage" is when medical personnel sort out the injured during a disaster and decide between who they can and can't save.

Otherwise, I love the way this was written, and I'll definitely be looking out for the rest of this story.
