Really, really liked that. Not too sure about the casting of 11, yet, but perhaps it's because I'm unduly fond of 10 (and 10.5).

Meanwhile, this was lovely. Adored the vision of 41-yr-old "John" (I'm about to turn 41 myself, so it resonates) just watching his family. Nice slice of life. And he's content, which is fabulous.

I'm sure Matt'll do a wonderful job but I too am inordinantly fond of David as Ten. It'll take a bit of getting used to I'm sure but I guess that's what this show's all about. Really though we've been spoiled with David, three whole seasons plus specials! Chris Eccleston only got one season and no specials!

Time will tell.

ANYWAY. Onto your review - thank you so very much! I really liked writing 10.5 in this, because he is content with where he is in life (what a strange coincidence that you're nearly 41 too!) and with Rose which I think is lovely.

For some reason I saw that scene so very well in my head, even heard Ten's voice saying it with THAT LOOK on his face. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Because he really would react like that upon realizing. Nice!

excellent! there's a lot of speculation about poor old Matt and he's nowhere near filming anything yet. mind you he does have HUGE shoes to fill, still this worked really well.
