Hmm... I looked into how much it would cost to get a U-Haul from here to Oregon and it ended up being around $1,700. Factoring gas into that and it would probably be around $2,500 - $3,000. *sigh* We'd probably be better off buying a newer car and getting a mini trailer to hook up onto the back of the car instead. Same amount of money, but at least

$1700 for a U-Haul? That doesn't sound right. Are you guys getting, like, the biggest size? Maybe go with a smaller one and take this time to shed some un-needed junk.

Actually, it was around $1,750 for the smallest U-Haul truck with a hitch on the back to haul Jerry's car. Of course, it's a 2000 mile drive, so I'm sure that has something to do with the cost. D:

I have to agree with Matt. The smaller u-hauls are a lot cheaper. You could also check into like...moving companies or something else and if all else fails, there's always the mail or DHL :D

As for the "when" you'll get the sign soon enough. Take deep breaths, the time will come :) <3

Yeah, the smallest truck is $1,400 but it comes to just under $1,750 with the hitch we need to haul Jerry's car. Moving companies and even PODS are more expensive, sadly. Still, we'll figure something out. I think getting a newer car and just getting one of those small trailers to hitch on the back would probably cost about the same, but at least we'd have something to show for it after the move. :P

That sucks that the small ones are that expensive o.<;;; Damn. I don't know if they have it out where you are, but over here there's these things called SAMs (store and move i think). Maybe check into those? I hope it all goes well for you honey <33

And my favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast (Disney version) :D Although it's almost closely tied by Lilo and Stitch and Enchanted :B
