I didn't get into Campus Village. I'm on the waiting list. Scratch housing option #1. hopefully housing options #2 and #3 will pan out. I hate not having housing for next year. you have to look for housing every year? wow, that's pretty complicated. you don't get first dibs since you're an existing tenant?

I dunno how dorming works. When I lived outside the home in my first two weeks, two friends and I squeezed into a studio that wasn't affiliated with the school.

hope it all works out for you.

Thanks. At UCI, freshmen have guaranteed housing. they live in the dorms. the only older ones that live in the dorms either have scholarships that guarantee housing or they have dorm jobs. I am approching the end of my freshman year and the end of my housing guarantee. A middle earth job is currently housing option #3 for me. The numbers are based on their chronology and not my preferances. This option is actually what I would like best. If second years and above want on-campus housing they must apply for campus village lottery or write an essay for Arroyo Vista theme houses. I hear from Arroyo Vista next. That is option #2. Option #4 is getting an off-campus apartment which I really don't want to do. But most people live off campus. I think something like 60% of the undergrad population lives off campus or commutes.
