[Auuuugh this is so awkward. All her stuff has been neatly bundled and wrapped/folded/laundered/whatever it needed to be. ...but he can't take it to her because that would involve seeing her in person. UHHHH talking, right.]

Uh... Sure. [Dammit. It's bad enough he was her brother for a couple weeks, but the fact that the last time she talked to him was when she was being so... vulnerable is making it worse. Hnnngh.

I'm not from the world with that country, but it seems to be a pretty common origin, that I've noticed.

Sure as hell seems that way. [And it's the total opposite of what she's used to. She used to be a commodity back home.]

And I dunno. It was normal? Not like this place those. Future stuff everywhere, people talkin' about going abroad, foreigners all over the place. Kinda crazy, but I like it!

Yup. Normal for us at least. It's Keio 3 - dunno if that means anything to ya - got that whole "Out with the Foreigners!!" craziness going on. Most people are farmers or merchants nowadays even if the samurai are still around, doing stuff.

Keio? I know what you mean. [One of the few eras she does remember learning about.] Wasn't much different where I came from, honestly... at least with the foreigner distrust.

...There's a hell of a lot of samurai around here, aren't there.

[Adell heads into Good Spirits. He had heard Baiken's transmission, and figured if anything, she'd be there. It's always better talking to her in person, after all. So he'll be looking around for her.]

[She's just in the corner with some plum sake, as per usual. Unlike usual, though, instead of having her eye fixed distrustfully on the rest of the bar, her stare is fixed on the sake. It's not until she can sense his presence very close by that she looks up.]

[Adell smiles and sits down across from her, a bottle of sake of his own in his hand.]
