Lavennnnnny... and other stuff

Jul 29, 2008 01:37

Been doing some shopping these past few days. Trying to figure out how I'm going to decorate my bedroom in Boston. I'm leaning towards a black/white/pink theme. The place isn't too big, so I definitely won't be going all out... but I'd at least like to have something to get excited about decoration-wise.

I've also been breaking out like crazy these ( Read more... )

I really like your idea of going black/white/pink. I just love neutrals with touches of color. It makes my life.

I've been kind of lately appreciating haircuts that are long and tapered toward the back... Like a handkerchief! But hair! But I'm also hopelessly hipster, so...

A good cut with side-swept bangs always works... kinda like this...

Yesss, that's totally what I'm looking for - I really like that first pic! I'm soo torn over the whole side-bangs thing though - I've wanted them for a while now, and those are always the cuts that I find myself liking best! The only problem is though, I have a really weird cowlicky-thing though, and sometimes bangs hang funny on my head.. plus I have a ton of broken, curly-ish hairs that I'm not sure how to best hide..

BUT, I do really want to at least try them, and so I'm thinking of going with like slightly-longer side bangs, then if it doesn't work out, I can always just let them grow out....

(And the Legally Blonde pics were definitely NECESSARY in this situation.)

I definitely have the weird cowlicky-thing too. What I find that works best is... I usually let my hair air dry. Sometimes I blow dry it, but very rarely. After it's completely air dried, or after I've blow dried it, I always re-wet my side-bangs with water and then blow dry them. It totally fixes everything (and I'm not sure why). Garnier has this epic sleek & shin anti-humidity stuff that you run through your hair when it's damp that fixes that, and usually when they cut your hair to make the side-bangs, those curly-ish hairs completely go away. I had the saaaame problems as you, sister!

Starting with slightly-longer side bangs would toootally work. I would just bring in a picture of what you wanted to the hair dresser (rather than just telling them), and since it's a popular cut, I'm sure it will turn out poooifectly.

They were EXTREMELY necessary.

Yeaahh, I think I've found a couple potential pictures to bring in - because, yeah, whenever I actually get there, I always go blank about how to describe things.

Thanks for all the tips!! I'll let you know how it all turns out!

I think I should just like tile your icon for my desktop background... because seeing that on a daily basis would just make me SMILE. Hahaha
