I never realized that the protagonist of at least Johnny Cash's version of 'Cocaine Blues' is named Billy Lee. This really made me want to do a video for it with footage from Naked Lunch (what is it with me and Peter Weller lately?), although I don't think there's enough there to sustain it. ...I am actually kind of surprised that the line is that clear, to the imdb. I am also curious as to who tags the movies on it.

I guess some guy named Red Arnell wrote the song? I have the oddly jaunty Roy Hogsed version (and have temporarily put it online at http://kontext-away.com/cocaine.mp3 ). In that version the protagonist's name is 'Willie Lee'.

It is sort of surprising that he doesn't get more non-TV work.
I am pleased to note (from imdb) that he is moving toward Buckaroo Banzaihood: He holds a master's degree in Roman and Renaissance art and is working toward a Ph.D. One of Syracuse University's most popular professors.
