Inconsequential media doings of late include finishing up Zodiac for probably the fifth or sixth time (still good, and amusingly Bostony. I didn't pick it to read for that reason; it was just around, but still it taught me that the Watertown Mall used to have a bar in it. I like that book a lot. I should start giving it to people.

It's always time.
I wanted to reread some Dune, but I can't find any of 'em.

I do like the Little Wonder video... Floria Sigismondi may be sort of, well, lame, but her technique is unimpeachable: she trained herself to speak without waking herself up too much and dictates her near-liminal imagery to a tape recorder. Reviews it the next day and keeps the good stuff.

Okay, that's pretty awesome.
She also did Dead Man Walking, right? That one wasn't as strong as Little Wonder, although I remember there was some moment that I really enjoyed. But I cannot recall what.

Dead Man Walking seems to be swamped by the style-at-the-time, though, which I think Little Wonder survives a little better.
