And oh no! I'm so sorry! *hugs tight!* :( You're sure it's all gone? Could you put the harddrive of the notebook into an external harddrive shell and retrieve files that way? And I never knew taking stuff out without ejecting them first could delete what's on there. My first laptop got to a point where I had to do that with everything because no matter how much I told it to eject the USB/memory cards, it just wouldn't go through on it. I never lost anything either, although I try to remember to not remove anything without ejecting it first.
