I started it...right before I moved into the apartment, I think. Finished the first chunk of it that's all about the plague and surviving and the journey to Colorado and then I wasn't ready to read about reforming civilization. :) So I held off.
But I think it is going on my favorites shelves...as soon as I find another copy that's not starting to molt pages.
Silly girl, books are not printed to be read anymore, they are meant only too look good on a shelf. That is why they fall apart like that. *So Much Sarcasm, and yet, sadly true.*
As a rather thick novel, it would do much better in trade paperback format, I think. I don't think I ever saw that format; silly publishers. (It's also an old publication and I bought it used, so...you get what you pay for.) Matt did have a hard copy of the same un-cut/unabridged book, so yay. ^.^ I've staked my claim...
But yeah, other books... I have one on vampires (bookstore new) that's been molting high-gloss pages since I bought it.
Couldn't even use it as a coffee table book for fear of finding images of Vlad Tepes scattered about the living room.
