We play similar games for french customs. Babies or jesters in the mardi gras cake and on christmas, kings and crowns in la galette des Rois cakes. Haha, i never seem to win the charms.

This was a lovely piece though. Thank you for bringing to light a little known to dying tradition. People need a little superstition in their lives and some divine luck and intervention.

Those last lines, though? Perfect, stunning and hitting right on the holiday ideals of love. Mmmmm. Me feel melty.
