I’ve begun a collection (for my own personal use) of my favourite, “I’m a doctor not a ______!” quotes from fanfic.

What are yours? I’ve only got two so far that I’ve actually written down but I’m going to keep on collecting the gems - dammit, one slipped through my fingers just the other day but I was so embroiled with the reading that it was

Aww, Bones. I think my favorite is I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer, LOL, my hubby says it all the time, it's from TOS but I don't know which ep! My journal (which, LOL, is same format as yours but I have the green) used to be called the Perverts Corner, but I changed it to Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a pervert!!

I love the bricklayer quote too - there just seems to be an endless seam to mine here.

I was pretty sure the line is "Damn it man, I'm a doctor, not a physicist!" This was confirmed for me by the entry at
Memory Alpha.

He also says "I don't need a doctor, damn it, I am a doctor!" And, "I'm a doctor Jim, I'm busy!"

I will keep an eye out for good quotes from fan fiction for you.

My fave from TOS was the 'I'm a doctor/surgeon (?) not a moon shuttle conductor.' That always cracked me up.

And only three times? I had to stop counting at 30. It's pathetic. lol

I always loved the "I'm a doctor, not an escalator," because it's just so bizarre.

My favorite one that I wrote in a fic was "He was a doctor damnit. Not an alien chew toy."
