Dear, adorable, oblivious McCoy is wonderful as ever. I still adore how he'd trained himself to physically and viscerally react to Jim and Jim made that training 'stick' by removing himself from the picture. Made poor Bones suffer.
I love when they have a connection that could fell them both, but they actually become just that much stronger together.
Wonderful as ever, m'dear!

I think Jim making Bones suffer wasn't intentional - more that he was unwilling to have his interest in Bones exposed but, yeah, it kept poor Bones on the knife edge :D

So glad you liked this, bb since the prompt was yours originally - I hope you'll forgive me for going my own way!

I really, really enjoyed Kirk at the end refusing to learn Pike's lesson; refusing even the idea of sharing McCoy. I'm glad this worked for you - Jim will always do things his own way and, much as he wants to learn from his mentor!
Thanks for reading :D

Your mirrorverse is lighter than some I've read but still downright sinister; humour aside, the way Pike and Kirk and even McCoy think and act very much nails that point home. And while I've got a hardwired Pike/McCoy OTP living in my head, filled with genuine affection and all that, I still found the idea of Pike giving McCoy a coldly indifferent fuck on his desk, just to prove a point to Kirk, really ridiculously fucking hot. And of course, the genuine affection between Kirk and McCoy and their mutual interdependence was an incredible bonus. Loved just about everything about this, basically, so thank you for sharing!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this and that you found it 'sinister'; I wanted to give the MU my own twist and I appreciate feedback that suggests some of what I've done may be working at least :D
Also, desk sex for the win!
