And then he’s finished, paint-slathered hands open, away from his body slightly, like he’s levitating.

That's such a fabulous image - I'm going to be picturing that for ages. Wonderful story, definitely one I'll be reading again. And again. *g*

ta! was thinking of all the options re: paint-slathering, but decided that less is more. and i really think he does levitate sometimes, the way he bounces about...

thank you :)

I absolutely adored this. Just lovely, and subtle, and the last line utterly blew me away. With all the explicit stories out there, soemtimes you just crave something with a light touch.

hey! have been reading and fb'ing your stuff at silverlake - awesome! was your stuff that really kind of inspired me to start writing for this fandom...

and i am so not good with the 'explicit'. some can, some can't, and i...can't. but i kind of like the feeling you get after reading something where it's all left to the imagination anyway, so it works ok for me.

thanks for the fb, it means a lot!

“There,” she says finally, “Now I’m yours.”
When she looks at his face it’s a bit like being gut-punched. And he says, very quietly:
“That’s right.”

That is just breathtaking. Lovely.

Just found this from taraljc's rec list - a gorgeous little piece, sweet and meaningful, with great writing and a lovely subtlety. Great work.
