Gotta admit, that is a freaking cool trailer and yeah, I was geeking out over it a little too, despite not being really into The Avengers. I do like my Marvel stuff but I am mostly a massive Wolverine fangirl... but there is so much crossover in the Marvel universe that I'm familiar with other characters too. :)
I must admit I'm not a comic book or superheroes fan at all (except Superman. I'm Superman girl) and I knew (and know) very little about characters and stuff. It's really the movies that made me interested, and even though I tried a comic book, it's not really my thing. So thank Joss Whedon for making it so kick-ass that I wish I could grab a tardis and travel to the end of April :D
I got into Marvel stuff through the first X-Men movie. I freaking loved the movie and fell for Wolverine *hard*! :lol: It made me investigate comic-book Wolverine and for a good while I had a standing order every month at my local comic book shop for the Wolverine comic, the Ultimate X-Men comic and any other comic that had Wolverine in it that month. I had to kill the standing order eventually as I was ending up spending £30 a month on comics! :lol:
I have to say, as a whump-whore (and isn't Wolverine just THE perfect whumpee - you can do just about anything to him and a) he recovers and b) he still feels the pain! :D) there's a lot to be said for comic book whump - they can do things to them in comics that they wouldn't dare in the movies! :lol:
Hihihi isn't that the best? :D Yeah I DL'ed a Thor comic after the movie came out and I did like it, but I never got to the end and I bought two Loki comic books for a friend's birthday, but dayumn, they were so expensive that I thought to myself: this cannot be a monthly thing! :O Such a shame though :(

Reminds me I still need to see Wolverine the movie.. And X-Men First Class..
I love love love this trailer. I think it's such a great thing that we see each heroe having a badass moment and them together as group. Also I loved that we saw a lot, without actually seeing too much. I still can't tell who the aliens are. They look a bit like Frost Giants, but they could be something else entirely.
Also I like that we actually didn't get so much Loki, because I was kinda afraid that we'll see a lot of his stuff already in the trailers. I try not to get my hopes up all that much for his amount of screentime, because it'll be difficult enough to give each avenger his/her screentime. But then again, all I'm seeing and hearing leads me to believe that Loki will have a lot of screentime. Oh God, I can't wait for this movie...
Ditto!! It's starting to rub off on real life, as I talk a LOT about it lately to my parents LOL

I should probably cut down my squee a bit, as I'm counting on lots of screen time because of what they've said and the fact that he got acting time with every one of them, which would suggest he's in it more than any of the others LOL Which is nonsense, I know, but I can't help thinking it.. And even if he isn't, the others in that cast are still enough to make me go OMFJAHHFDJHAGF XD

Mine too, I can't wait to find out who exactly they are - and I think it's great that nobody - not even the die hard comic fans - can do anything more than guessing. :)
I know, what they say suggests he will have more screentime than the rest of them - and remembering that NYCC-Panel it probably wouldn't be such a bad idea, but I don't trust them to really go through with that. There has to be a catch somewhere. Oh that's true - the rest of the cast certainly can make up for any eventual lack of Loki.
Your comment made me think about who I should see it with.. I'm guessing I'm seeing it with my friend who doesn't care squat about fandom and ignores plainly most I say on the matter. That's not really fun, is it.. I'm guessing I'll see it at least twice. Must try to squeeze in a viewing with a fellow fangirl XD

Exactly!! They must know he's popular. The idea of him being defeated, which is sadly a given, isn't it LOL, makes me the most sad LOL I usually root for the heroes, but this time I really don't want the bad guy to lose LOL At least we know we'll get Thor 2, so he won't be completely off-ed.
Wow! My excitement for this movie has just increased and I didn't think that was possible, lol. OMG! Never been a Marvel fan, I was always a Batman girl, but the Marvel movies are just so amazing that I ended up developping a crush on all of their characters and a HUGE crush on Iron Man. Oh, boy!
